Before starting this blog, I did some reading about Leominster. It is repeatedly described as a ‘bustling market town’. This gives me an impression of prosperous traders dashing about their business through crowds of happy shoppers.
Well … It’s sometimes quite busy, if there’s an event on.
High Street looking fairly busy. This was at lunchtime on market day.
Last Tuesday at half past four in Leominster High Street.
Drapers Lane in the rain. This little street is well-maintained, with some interesting shops. It still struggles to draw trade, though.
Closed! Half-past four on Tuesday.
Church Street at 4:30 pm on a weekend. The 3-storey, double-fronted houses are now mostly offices and budget flats.
Café society! Corn Square – the town’s hub – in the afternoon on a beautiful, warm April Sunday. Fair play to the kids, they were upgrading their bike & board skills.
